چکیده
Background: The characteristics of glioblastoma, such as drug resistance during treatment, short patient survival, and high recurrence rates, have made patients with glioblastoma more likely to benefit from oncolytic therapy. Methods: In this study, we investigated the safety sindbis virus by injecting intravenously intracranially in mice evaluated therapeutic effect carrying different combinations IL-12, IL-7, GM-CSF on glioma a glioma-bearing mouse model. Results: SINV was autologously eliminated serum organs well neural networks after entering mice. Furthermore, restricted injection site tree shrew brain did not spread throughout whole brain. addition, found that SINV-induced apoptosis conjunction stimulation immune system tumor-killing cytokines substantially suppressed tumor development. It is worth mentioning IL-7 IL-12 had most notable glioma-killing effect. an intracranial model, containing effectively prolonged survival time inhibited progression. Conclusions: These results suggest has significant profile combining efficient treatment option for malignant gliomas.

Oncolytic viral therapy for cervical and ovarian cancer cells by Sindbis virus AR339 strain.
PURPOSE Recently, the application of replication-competent viruses has been studied as anticancer agents. Sindbis virus (SIN) is an RNA virus that belongs to the Alphavirus genus in the Togaviridae virus family. The AR339 strain of SIN has not been reported to induce any serious disease to humans. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN In this study, we evaluated the feasibility of the replication-competent SIN...
متن کاملOncolytic Viral Therapy for Mesothelioma
The limited effectiveness of conventional therapy for malignant pleural mesothelioma demands innovative approaches to this difficult disease. Even with aggressive multimodality treatment of surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy, the median survival is only 1-2 years depending on stage and histology. Oncolytic viral therapy has emerged in the last several decades as a rapidly advancing field o...

The liver is a common site for primary or metastatic disease. In addition to primary liver tumors, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and gallbladder carcinoma, several cancers are known to present with isolated hepatic metastasis, including colorectal carcinoma, ocular melanoma, and neuroendocrine cancers. Moreover, in patients with additional sites of extrahepatic disease, ...

متن کاملOncolytic viral therapy for human pancreatic cancer cells by reovirus.
PURPOSE Pancreatic cancer has a poor prognosis and few effective therapies are available. The oncolytic effect of reovirus has been observed in cancer cells with an activated Ras signaling pathway, and pancreatic cancer may be a candidate target for reovirus because K-ras mutation is frequently found in pancreatic cancer. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN In this study, we examined the feasibility of using...
